Was reminded of this upcoming series today and was wondering: is it a continuation, remake or the same series adapted by different director/studio? I never understood which (if any) was the case.

Well, about 5 minutes into the first episode via adult swim.

It's like the other FMA anime! Except devoid of originality, style or seriousness!

I don't know. I think if the order was reversed-if this one was the first FMA anime-everyone would be confused as hell.

EDIT: Read some reviews and apparently it gets more complex after the first 15 episodes. I fukkin' hope so.
The first episode to me was pretty much half the story with a "new" character. No moral complications, either. Just, "lets save this place because we have to!"
And that McDougal guy...
"I have all the water I need! In my body!!!"
Yeah, that or the big fuckign ice wall right in front of you. Dumbass.
