spring boards
wondering if you guys have any special techniques for making them
I'm interested but I don't want to hurt myself (I remember a while back hearing of someone's spring snapping into his hand during a recording)
so yeah, any advice from an experienced individual before I google?

Re: spring boards
Honestly, all I did that was even remotely close was take the back off an old flourescent garage light fixture, drill in two holes, stretch a spring so each end would to into said holes, tape & glue it for extra protection, hook up a contact mic, there you go.
BTW, I rarely use mine.

where'd you get the gigantic spring?
Would'nt consider it "gigantic." I'll look for a pic of what I mean later on.
My dad has just been a lifelong gearhead with a lot of jobs (including his current one) revolving around cars, trucks, boats, ATVs, etc. He had a bucket of 'em, asked if I could borrow one and voila: springboard.
I might post a sample of it on dropi io later on aswell.
Oh yeah, and hi Durik. This is MLF :3
