Small Cheap Fun Devices.
so i just came across that tonite. it is $49.99. so even if it is doesn't sound great it doesn't SEEM like that much of a loss if it sucks. i know other people enjoy their Kaossilators & Buddha Machines & other stuff. so i was just wondering if there were any cheap devices or toys that you just have fun using, whether you make music w/ it or not. sometimes gear-stuff can seem a little too serious sometimes. tell me about teh fun stuff.
peace.

Buddhist Jukebox, 12 "songs" looped, with a few being vocal chants. Earphone out plugged into effects, FUN! By the way the above picture is about one and a half times larger then the actual device.
This is where you put in batteries 2 AAA. That's how big it is, put two AAA batteries next to that pic to get an idea on the size. With the built in speaker it gets way louder then you'd expect. $5.71 shipping included from Hong Kong, though I have heard that you can get these or things like it for free at Buddhist Temples.
You can get a set of walky talkies really cheap, and they make great feedback when you press talk and have them near each other. If you are really handy, you can even add an input and make a wireless mic or guitar "amp". I keep meaning to, but never do, work out a "keyboard/scale" thing, that will change the sound of the feedback by changing their proximity to each other.
By the way I have to say 49.95 is expensive in my world. I have a rule where I will only pay 50.00 dollars for equipment, and that includes shipping. I have only "broken" that rule twice, one for my Beatle Bass copy, which I paid 109 bucks for, and a Yamaha VSS 100, a Casioesque keyboard sampler (with way more features) for around a hundred and that was mostly shipping it to Oregon from England, and it's pretty big.

i have a small walkie talkies & a police scanner. really i still want to cop those older radio shack intercom things. i have heard of those cheaper Buddha Machines but have yet to buy one yet. i actually considered it for a minimal set-up.
for me. $200 is my ceiling gear-wise. willing to give a little leeway $50 or so, esp. if it is not being produced anymore. i guess "under $300" is more my ceiling. but i cannot justify plugging anymore into a piece of gear. esp. for noise.
i think i could do a self-imposed $50 or less limit. but then that would mean like buying four Behringer delays instead of having one Hazarai. in some instances. spending a little for features, functionality and flexibility saves a lot a headaches. esp. for me. as i frequently hit brick walls & obstacles.
