we are gods unwanted children. if we want his attention we must fight for it. which would you rather have? damnation or nothing? hell or nothing? acknowledgement or nothing? if fathers were our models for god and our fathers left us what does that tell you about god???!

Where did this come from?
Also, if you acknowledge this eventual reliance on choice to determine religious alignment i.e. choosing Christianity just to be safe, possibly feel good at the expense of some lost freedoms vs. taking the chance on atheism which gives freedom yet may prove deadly if heaven exists, you also acknowledge that god is as real as a flying spaghetti monster.

yeah just let me know of any interesting shows cumming up. I like all kinds of music
Re: if you live in the area
indie-wise. there seems to be a few things in march i'd check out & if i had my ducks in a row i'd definitely would have made the drive.
Re: if you live in the area

w/ all the indie stuff going on there now i know there must be something on going in Birmingham underground & alt-venue wise. there used to be a small but growing noise scene budding there a few years ago. Rodger Stella from Macronympha was living there last time i checked.
it doesn't really make any sense but i haven't been to Birmingham in a minute.

lol i was just being random. its one of tyler durdens little rants in the fight club book.
in actuality when it comes to religion and mans place and the existence of god im paralleled. i feel that its more logical to believe in a creator (but not at all the christians definition of god). the possibilities that everything thats built up and evolved into human kind is infinitely too small to have actually happened on its own. i think man was better off living in tribes before the strange form of civilization and morality robbed us off our instincts. i find it beautiful and terrifying that man is so colossal (in the sense of he has his own reality where everything revolves around him) and so insignificant (in the sense of being part of a unified reality of everything in the universe). i mean as far as you know, when you die the universe dies with you. you have no way of knowing if it just keeps going. but all these thoughts that i have are, at the same time, paralleled by the fact that i dont care. nature and all its forces are working and who am i to find out what makes them work? i just trust that the giant clock of the universe is in motion, and that when i die (whether i go to any type of heaven or hell) that i will give the organic matter that my life force has taken back to the planet. what use is it to make sense of everything by religion or science, when you could use that time just enjoying the limited time you have doing what you want?
tl dr; i wonder about the purpose of life and at the same time i know the world is working and i dont care enough to find out why it works, how it works, or who makes it work. i just dont care.
sorry to get all rantsy pantsey. i am in no way trying to force any beliefs on anyone. it doesnt really matter what you believe because there is one known fact among man: the minute you are born you are destined to die. thinking of meanings in everything is a waste of limited time. to think of all the possibilities is to drown in a sea of infinite probability. aka thinking of this shit constantly will drive you insane.
Re: if you live in the area
oh yeah and if you want to come down and chill you are more than welcome to (i mean of course you are it isnt my fucking city). but ill research any more shows and if you need a place to crash ive got you covered. its always good to see a beautifully brutal concert with people who will enjoy it just as much as you.
so yeah
and sorry again for the long ass message.
