Re: the decline of western civilization
Saw it when it first came out.
I finally had to buy a bootleg copy after writing Phenolope Spheerises websight and they said it was coming out soon. Waited and waited, three fucking years, and finally just got a boot.
I love this film, and saw almost every band on it live. Never did get to see Catholic Discipline, Alice Bag or the Germs, otherwise saw all the others, back in the day. Really wish I could have seen Darby and the Germs, sigh.
A really nice documentry of a time where Punk was actually a threat, instead of a fashion.

I just torrented it a few day ago. The first one is much better than the 2nd one. Other than the megadeth and ozzy interviews, the people got on my nerves. I love the wall of religious pamphlets that the chick from Catholic Discipline had. Plus the apartment that black flag lived in was fucking crazy. I had no idea that the singer was puerto rican. WOOT! PUERTO RICAN PRIDE
Re: the decline of western civilization
I really liked Xs place from the first one. The Church Black Flag had was way cool too.
The only thing I remember from the second one was the interview with the drunk guy in the pool.
I was way into Punk Rock, Metal, not so much. It didn't help that some of the Metal bands were more cheesy than thrashy. I still haven't seen the third one, which I guess focuses on street kids, which seems more interesting conceptually, to me, then the second one.
I also wore out two of the first ones soundtracks on cassette. Is it even available on cd?

Not sure, but if you search for torrents, then you'll most likely find it. That's how I got all 3 movies.
Re: the decline of western civilization
There was a lot of great stuff in this movie but I seriously wonder if they went out of their way to find some of the dumbest punks possible to interview. "I'm so pissed off because of... buses, and old people!"

Haven't seen it in a while so I wouldn't remember that, I'll watch it again some time though
